PLYWOOD

-    Multi-layered construction gives it a lot of strength since it has the stability to withstand heavy loads. The durability of plywood makes it suitable for furniture that is expected to handle regular pressure and load.

-    Is resistant to fluctuating or extreme temperatures and humidity and does not warp or chip easily.

-    Plywood provides a smooth and consistent surface, which is ideal for applying finishes such as paint or veneer. This allows for a polished and attractive appearance for kitchen cabinets.

-    Plywood sheets are manufactured with precision, ensuring uniformity in thickness and strength. Plywood's ease of installation stems from its structural integrity, and resistance to damage compared to MDF. These attributes make plywood more manageable for installers, facilitating precise cutting, secure fastening, and overall smoother installation of kitchen cabinets.

SOLID WOOD

-    Solid wood is known for its durability and longevity. In the event of damage, solid wood cabinets are generally easier to repair compared to other materials. Scratches, dents, or nicks can often be sanded out and refinished, restoring the cabinet's original appearance.

-    Solid wood cabinets can contribute to the overall value of your home. Potential homebuyers often appreciate the quality and durability of solid wood, making it an attractive feature in the real estate market.

-    Wood does have natural antibacterial properties. The porosity of wood can create an environment where bacteria find it harder to survive, but this doesn't mean it's a substitute for proper cleaning and hygiene practices in the kitchen. Solid wood can be a good choice for people with allergies, as it doesn't harbor allergens as easily as some other materials. However, the finish applied to the wood, as well as proper cleaning, will influence its allergy-friendliness.
