We browsed through designer blogs, stylist accounts, and toy lovers’ pages to find the most fun photos of the internet’s favorite little monster.

Labubu

Labubu plush toys—yes, the ones everyone’s obsessed with lately—have actually been around since before the pandemic. They were created by Dutch artist Kasing Lung, who’s originally from Hong Kong. Labubu was the main character of his comic series The Monsters, set in a magical forest. In 2015, the characters were first released as collectible figures by How2Work, but real fame didn’t come until 2019. That’s when Lung partnered with Chinese toy giant Pop Mart.

But it wasn’t just collectors who made Labubu famous. It went viral after stars like Lisa from Blackpink and Rihanna were spotted with Labubu keychains and plushies on their bags. And from there, it blew up.

Today, Pop Mart has released over 300 versions of Labubu—varying in size, color, design, and of course, price. The company’s founder even became a billionaire, landing on Forbes’ list of China’s richest people with a net worth close to $23 billion.

To ride the wave of this adorable trend, we pulled together some playful photos of Labubu in real interiors. Our favorite? A kids' room designed entirely for a Labubu fan.

And to wrap it all up—here are a few more fun shots of Labubu in their “natural habitats” (plus a bonus: cakes shaped like Labubu and their little houses!).
